Fans of McLain’s Bakery now have a second location to get their cookie fix. McLain’s Market will open October 11 at 10695 Roe Ave. in Overland Park, offering an expanded menu, cold pressed juice, wine and beer.
McLain’s Market features a full food menu – including breakfast, lunch, appetizers and a weeknight happy hour from 4-6 p.m. A personal lunchtime favorite: the Roastbeef Flatbread ($9) prepared thin and crisp, then topped with zucchini, monterey jack cheese, charred tomato sauce, onion, and drizzled with balsamic reduction and olive oil. For breakfast, don’t miss any of McLain’s breakfast sandwiches.
Guests can peruse a “market” section with grab and go salads, sandwiches and cold pressed juices – plus, shop local goods from Post Coffee Co., Thou Mayest Coffee and Lake Candles.
Unlike the Waldo location, the new storefront offers a bar area serving local beer on tap from Boulevard, Free State Brewing and Torn Label, in addition to wine. New features also include an outdoor patio and drive through.
Never fear, McLain’s signature sweets have carried over to the new location. Cup cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, cakes and butter rolls are all on the menu – plus, a few new sweets like the s’mores cookie featured at the top of the page.
McLain’s Market is open Tuesday through Thursday 7 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
