Feeling clueless when it comes to planning the perfect anniversary date night? These five unique date destinations will spice up any special occasion and help you reach #relationshipgoals status.

1. Kauffman Center Dining Experience, Downtown
Kauffman Center Dining Experience
If you want to really wow your partner, treat them to dinner and a show at the Kauffman Center. Located in the Founders’ Lounge (just within the south doors of the Kauffman Center) the restaurant features a modern-American, three-course prix-fix menu (just $33!) and full cocktail bar. Guests can choose from seasonal selections such as: Roasted Spring Vegetable Terrine sprinkled with almond crumble and lemon gel, Hanout Lamb with couscous and apricot chutney, and Lavender Angel Cake with blueberry mousse.

2. Lifted Spirits Distillery, Crossroads

Not into the traditional dinner date? Toast your true love at Lifted Spirits. The Crossroads Distillery makes its own gin and vodka, which they use in their selection of seasonal cocktails. The Saturn cocktail is a personal favorite – made with gin, lemon, passion fruit, falernum and orgeat.

In addition to tastings and tours, the distillery offers free monthly spirit classes on topics like: how to use infusions, plant your own cocktail herb garden and create your own shrubs. Check out Lifted Sprits Facebook page to sign up for their next class.

3. Corvino Supper Club, Crossroads

When fine dining, craft cocktails and live music meet under one roof, it’s a recipe for the perfect date night. Newly opened in March, Corvino Supper Club has quickly become Kansas City’s most sought after dining destination. The sleek, 5,000+-square-foot space combines a main dining room, bar, private tasting room and a club stage for live music performances.

Chef Michael Corvino’s menu is made up of mostly family-style plates ($8-15) with options like: crab fried rice, chicken liver mousse and fried chicken (above).

4. The Antler Room, Hospital Hill

For a surefire way to impress your partner, choose dinner at The Antler Room. Chef Nick Goellner serves up a stunning selection of Mediterranean-inspired small plates, pastas and larger dishes, such as smoked pork shoulder. And the setting? Just as impressive. Patterned cedar plank walls, a concrete bar, copper accents and floor-to-ceiling windows create a simple yet striking space.

5. Tavernonna (inside Hotel Phillips), Downtown

There’s nothing more romantic than eating Italian, am I right? That’s why Tavernonna is the perfect place to enjoy your anniversary date night dinner. I suggest celebrating with Nonna’s Meatball (pictured above) and the restaurant’s selection of homemade pastas. Hint: You can’t go wrong with the Rigatoni with bolognese and braised beef chuck or the Tagliatelle with clams. Finish out the evening with a nightcap at P.S. Speakeasy, located just steps away inside Hotel Phillips.

Tavernonna is a long-time favorite of ours. My husband and I have spent our anniversary trip in KC, staying at the Phillips, a few times. We have sipped a few beverages at the Speakeasy too. Love the photos, and the recommendations. 🙂

I always walk past Hotel Phillips and wonder what the restaurant looks like from the inside. Great post!
