Love good food and a great deal? Start making reservations now for the first annual Wine & Dine Week at Park Place, July 31 – August 6. The event features nine Park Place restaurants – from fine dining to casual fare – with prix fix food deals for lunch ($15) and dinner ($30). Here’s a sneak peek of some of my favorite Wine & Dine Week dinner menu items.
Pig & Finch, 11570 Ash St.
Must eat: Prime Rib of Salmon (pictured above) featuring a Skuna Bay filet with English pea puree, baby cut carrots and whipped horseradish
Must drink: Spicy Burro cocktail made with mezcal, jalapeño and rosemary
The Grille at Park Place, 5270 W 116th Pl.
Must eat: Espresso Rubbed Ribeye featuring 10oz. of Midwest beef topped with shallot butter and a (massive) loaded baked potato
Must drink: a smoky New Fashioned with whiskey-soaked cherries
Gordon Biersch, 11652 Ash St.
Must try: Kobe-style Italian Meatballs made with Wagyu beef
Must drink: a beer flight – with your choice of brews including Torn Label, Boulevard Brewing Company and KC Bier Co.
Other participating restaurants include:
California Pizza Kitchen
Best of all, Wine & Dine Week at Park Place raises awareness and funds to Community for Kids, a charitable organization that addresses the reality of food insecurity for children in elementary schools in Johnson County.
